The Autopian noticed a QR code easter egg on the camouflage of the 30K pickup prototype, which takes you to 3 secret new videos:

VIDEOS: https://www.ford.com/spotted/?fcid=qrc-camo-lifestyle&qrcid=qrc=camo-lifestyle-fv-spot

The 3 videos include an intro from Alan Clarke, VP Advanced Development Projects. He runs Ford’s Long Beach EVDC (Electric Vehicle Development Center). This is what he says:

“Welcome, chances are you saw something on the road that piqued your interest and you’re here because you’re curious,” Clarke begins. “You’re just like us — really interested in new technology, innovation, and something pretty unique and interesting you saw on the road.”
“This website will be your exclusive window into our progress — a place where we show you how we’re doing things differently as our team develops an electric vehicle that’s accessible and exciting, one innovation at a time. So come on back sometime soon and take a look at the different things that this team across the world is doing to make sure that this product is ready for market in 2027.”

There's also an assembly video and a snow test track video.

Love it! Thanks for the heads up. Can't wait to see more! I think the back of the cab will be fairly sloped. You can sort of see it in the winter testing video

I'm interested to see how the unicasting works out. Also, since it's an internal-facing component I guess that means the exterior updates might be easier.

A year from now we'll see Sandy Munro tear one apart. There's no way he's not going to land one of these for a dissection.

Personally, I've never been a fan of huge hoods. I had a mostly empty "power bulge" on my 2010 Ranger. Inside was a four cylinder engine and a whole lot of space. If the nose slopes and the front end is shorter than traditional, count me in. Better visibility. A more maneuverable vehicle. I'll take it.

In my dreams, Ford releases the height, width, and length of this new truck. OTOH, they're probably enjoying watching all of us make wild guesses.

It does look like these concept art photos show a shorter nose, and at least in the top right image, a sloped back of cab.

I'm really excited about the prospect of this pickup. I love that so far, it looks more like an Australian 'ute to me, which I LOVE.
