Ranchero Bed Patent Reveals Recessed Cab Wall

The most interesting thing about this is you see how the back of the cab wall is recessed. I've theorized there was a areo piece running off the back and sides of the cab for better aero but recessed to give you more bed space, and this confirms it.

This image shows how a bike can be stored in the bed, but also shows a muscular line on the bedside that matches up with what we've seen and gives us a better idea of what the bedside could look like.

In my dreams, the rear of the cab would be an operable midgate. But I don't expect to get that feature at this cost. Kind of premium.

This is something I've expected from the beginning. Ford filed a patent on one a couple years ago. Will really be a great selling point if it does come with it.

I would hope it’s in a higher trim package. I expect the base model to be pretty slim with a smaller battery, but im hoping for a tremor model in the low-mid 40s with a midgate, 350-400 mile battery and maybe even air shocks (doubtful).
