I think it's not a huge issue. There's no standard on location for gas fill ports either, and it works out, even for oddballs like Caddy's with the fill port under the rear license plate or tail light.

It's inconvenient for Tesla's, but no real difference (in my opinion) to people who pull in the "wrong way" to a gas station.

I quite liked the location on the Lightning

Let's also hope the charge port is in the "correct" location (back left or front right). The new Rivian R2 seems to have it in the back left.

As a previous Mach-E owner, I had a lot of unfortunate supercharging situations on the highways.

Charge port is in the back left, which sucks for towing.
